Springtime is a time of renewal and growth, and a great opportunity for your team to reflect on their personal and professional goals. The ‘Spring into Action’ team building activity is a fun and engaging way for teams to share their aspirations and support each other in achieving them.

By sharing personal and professional goals, team members can get to know each other better and build stronger relationships. Additionally, creating a spring action list can provide motivation and accountability, as team members encourage each other to accomplish their goals. Whether team members are looking to discover new interests or make progress towards work-related objectives, the ‘Spring into Action’ list offers a fantastic opportunity for individual and team growth.

Instructions

  1. Ask each team member to come up with three things they would like to do or accomplish during the spring season – one that is related to their job, and two that are personal. For example, a job-related item could be to complete a particular project by a certain deadline, and personal items could include trying a new outdoor activity, going on a weekend trip, or learning a new skill.
  2. Give everyone a few minutes to think about their list, and then take turns sharing with the group.
  3. Encourage everyone to share why they chose those items, and any additional details they feel comfortable sharing.
  4. As a group, discuss any commonalities or differences among everyone’s lists, and use them as a way to get to know each other better.
  5. For job-related items, encourage the team to support each other in achieving their professional goals.

Summary

The “Spring into Action” list is an activity that promotes personal and professional growth within a team. Each team member creates a list of three things they want to do this spring, one related to their job and two personal, which they share with the team. Overall, the activity provides a fun and engaging way for team members to learn about each other’s interests and strengths, and step out of their comfort zones to try new things.
