Graffiti Boards Can Be A Great Way To Connect With Your Team

Connecting with your team is challenging when you work in different locations and time zones. While meeting together is an excellent way to connect, sometimes it’s easier to find asynchronous ways to connect in addition to your meetings.

Using a shared collaboration tool (Google Docs, Teams, Mural, Jamboard, Miro, etc.) to collect responses about a common theme or question is a great way to check-in with everyone.

Simply share a link and encourage everyone to post their response when it’s convenient. You can also reply to or comment on each other’s posts to increase engagement.

Here is an example of a Graffiti Board created in Zoom Whiteboards.

Some fun prompts to try on your Asynchronous Graffiti Board includes:

  • If I could be anywhere this week, I would be…
  • My favorite way to relax is…
  • Something I could use help or support with is…
  • One thing I love about our team is…

Each week change the question or topic and encourage your team to write or draw their responses. As an option, you can collect these images and share them at your end-of-year event.

Summary

Finding ways to connect with your team can be challenging. Meeting together is an excellent way to connect, but sometimes it is easier to find asynchronous ways to meet as well. Graffiti boards are a fun activity to help you connect with your team.
